Sheba Roy is a FABNO, a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology, also called an “integrative oncologist”, a “naturopath”, a “naturopathic doctor,” a “naturopathic oncologist”, “complementary care oncology provider” or a “supportive care oncology provider”.
She is nationally boarded in the interaction between natural therapies, drugs and radiation in a cancer population, and is one of approximately 75 fellows of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology practicing in the U.S. and Canada.
As a specialist in supportive care, Roy co-manages with your medical oncology team, dose-limiting side effects of chemo and radiation and optimizes surgical outcomes using natural therapies that are safe and evidence informed.
Jeffrey Mensah, ND
Jeffrey Mensah is in his first, of a three-year fellowship with Associates of Integrative Medicine in Michigan in supportive care oncology. He completed his doctorate in nutrition and natural medicine and his family medicine residency at National University of Health Sciences in Illinois with a special interest in Men’s Health. Mensah was one of a handful of graduates nationwide to be accepted to fellowship in integrative oncology. He is experienced in all areas of Men’s Health. Following fellowship, in partnership with urology in Michigan, he intends to sub-specialize in prostate health and survivorship.
Dr. Mensah was initially drawn to natural medicine by witnessing profound recovery in patients using novel and leading edge natural therapies to heal from the inside out. As a doctor, these experiences inspired him to be intentional about combining natural and conventional medicine to bring people individualized, evidence-based, comprehensive, holistic care.
All our doctors hold doctoral degrees in naturopathic medicine from nationally accredited natural medical programs; they train in residency following; and are nationally boarded in naturopathic oncology. Our doctors maintain a naturopathic medical license in states that license naturopaths as primary care doctors. In those states our docs prescribe drugs and natural therapy. In Michigan, there is no license for naturopathic medicine, anyone can call themselves a naturopath. In Michigan, our docs function as highly skilled, sub-specialized naturopaths, who advise oncology and act as expert consultants to your medical team and you, in what they are skilled at: bridging the evidence-informed gap, between conventional medicine and natural therapy and nutrition, in a cancer population, to bring the highest level of care to cancer patients and their families.
Pam, Office Manager
Pam is the mother of four beautiful children and grandmother to three more. She recently re-joined our team as a part-time Office Manager, to assist with some of the behind the scenes running of the practice. She has a lot of experience with Associates of Integrative Medicine as the front desk lead for 2 years and understands well what we need to be able to best serve your needs.
“I was diagnosed on August 11th at 5:30 pm with Breast Cancer, yes those big words, when I first heard those words from the doctor’s mouth I was like ‘No this can’t be true!’ The time leading up to this diagnosis (mammogram, 3D mammogram, ultrasound, biopsy), I just knew the results were going to be negative for Breast Cancer, but it wasn’t to be the case. So now my journey begins.
I went through surgery, radiation and hormone therapy and I walk this path with complete faith in knowing I am going to be ‘okay’, my outlook is positive. Today I am Cancer Free. Dr. Roy partnered with me and continues support me down this path. Working for the practice as a Survivor and a Thriver, is a way for me to give back and be supportive of all of you. It is my mission to be a part of bringing this kind of care to all cancer patients."
